Iva Mićanović is currently a Research Master’s student of Arts and Performance Research Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Coming from Belgrade, she went on to pursue her education in Slovenia and later completed her undergraduate studies in Musicology in Graz, Austria. Her research interests centre around decolonial theory, epistemologies of the sound archive and artistic research. At the moment she is writing her Research Master’s thesis as part of the DeCoSEAS titled “Decolonising Sound Archives: Tracing Agencies and Envisioning the Future of the Jaap Kunst Sound Collection” (forthcoming, 2024).
