Experience Penang’s Eurosian Musical Legacy at “Yesterday Once More”

Join us for a celebration of Penang’s vibrant Eurasian musical heritage at “Yesterday Once More”, curated by Jarrod Sim in collaboration with the Penang Eurasian Association (PEA), the Penang House of Music (PHoM), and the Decolonizing Southeast Asian Sound Archives project (DeCoSEAS).

Taking place on Saturday, 25th May, from 3 PM to 5 PM, this event will shine a spotlight on the movers and shakers of Penang’s Eurasian music scene, past and present. Visitors will be treated to a fascinating exhibition from PHoM’s extensive archive, highlighting Penang’s Eurasian musical community’s rich contributions to Penang’s cultural tapestry.

The event will also feature live performances by multiple generations of Penang musicians, who will share personal stories of their musical journeys, offering a unique glimpse into the sounds and experiences that have shaped Penang’s identity.
