The AVA_Net Symposium consists of talks, presentations and discussions. With a program that anticipates the upcoming ‘Remembrance Year of Slavery History’ and in which heritage professionals, researchers and creative makers share their knowledge, vision and experiences around topics such as decolonization, diversity & inclusion, participation and connection in (AV-) heritage. The panel consisting of Stevie Nolten, Layan Nijem, Luc Marraffa and Roan May Opiso brought a different perspectives of young people working in the archive with a decolonial approach.
The panel brought an multi-national perspective to an audience of AV heritage professionals from all over the Netherlands.
